Quality Improvement and Scholarship

Quality Improvement

Collaboration

Collaboration is multidisciplinary and authentic. The Staff / Resident Advisory Council is a resident & staff led initiative that meets regularly to foster communication among all of the team members. The primary objective is to ensure that at our practice we are all serving our patients and the community.

Opioid Use Disorder

In partnership with the division of chemical dependency, we are now even more effectively caring for patients with opioid use disorder. Most residents: (i) are certified and credentialed to prescribe buprenorphine, (ii) regularly counsel patients using motivational interviewing techniques, and (iii) are fully committed to keeping their patients clean and sober.

QI Initiatives

Over the last several years, the residents have led practice-wide QI initiatives addressing clinical matters such as hypertension control and obesity management.
