Jessica Colburn, M.D.

Assistant Professor of Medicine
Director, Johns Hopkins Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program

The GIM division is a collaborative and welcoming community of colleagues of various disciplines and backgrounds, working together with a mission of improving the care and well-being of our patients. I enjoy the welcome, open environment, the way people offer support to one another, and the mindset of learning and growing and stretching to think of new, innovative ways to improve health systems and medical care.

Bio

I am passionate about improving primary care for older adults in the clinic and at home through home-based primary care. I direct the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) which works with primary care sites and community-based organizations to improve community-based primary care to vulnerable older adults.

I live in Silver Spring, MD, with my husband, 11 year old twins, and 16 year old dog, Riley. I enjoy reading mysteries, running, and amateur photography (mostly taking photos of my kids).
