Christy Swain, Senior Administrative Coordinator, Palliative Care
Palliative CareWorking in the GIM division is very rewarding. I most enjoy being a part of a team that is respectful, innovative, and inclusive. I encounter this attitude throughout the division. The interprofessional teams allow for better understanding of processes and problem resolution. Our patient-centeredness is the key to our success.
Bio
My career at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center began in 1987 as a radiology transcriptionist. Over the years I’ve held positions as Radiology system administrator, cardiology executive administrative assistant, and most recently the GIM Division as Sr. Administrative Coordinator responsible for program coordination for the palliative care program as well as administrative support for the GIM Division which allows me to collaborate with trainees, faculty, and staff. I am passionate about supporting my teams efficiently so they may continue to provide the best patient care.
I am a mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and am very family oriented. I have two active teenage boys whom I enjoy watching play ice hockey and video games. I love cooking and eating Italian food and pairing with good wine. I enjoy yoga, trips to the beach, and suspenseful movies.
