Our GIM Division is a really exciting place to work. Great people, creative ideas, and lots of passion. Every day is a new adventure.
Bio
While the experience and culture of academic medicine can vary across institutions and even between departments within a school, our division has been the ideal place for me to spend my career. I am passionate about clinical medicine, teaching / mentoring, and research.
As a general internist, I have been caring for many patients in our community for more than 25 years. My patients and these longitudinal relationships have taught me so much. The clinical collaborations, within and beyond our division, continue to be amazing and inspire me seek continual improvement.
Because I have been at this work for a long time, many mentees have gone on to have fulfilling, productive, and successful careers in medical education. This accomplishment makes me especially proud.
When I am not at work, I am usually hanging out with my best friend & former medical school classmate – my wife Annie. We enjoy spending time with our 3 children and our dog, Lucy. My favorite hobbies / pastimes include – skiing, paddle boarding, reading, travel, and watching soccer.
